Sikh channel

I would congratulate you all on the opening of our own sikh channel. We have all sought of people from rich to poor in our religion but no one dared to own a sikh channel. I know channel punjab tried but failed i will discuss it somewhere else.

I am so happy about this channel. I love kirtan, I love to see me people on my own channel especially when they are prayingg for everybody. For away from greed and stress, just chanting gods name.

Normally its very hard to open any free service for anybody, especially a TV channel for Sikhs in UK. As I mentioned its an expensive business, I know the mission of this channel is not to earn money but to serve our community and to link our souls to God.

Its very easy just one click on internet or just a phone call.

The Sikh Channel is a Not for Profit Company we do not distribute any surplus funds or profit to owners or shareholders, but instead use them to help pursue its goals and objectives. At present running costs are in the region of £50,000 and we need 10,000 Sikhs to set up a Direct Debit from £4 a month. This will cover our broadcast running costs and any surplus will be used to produce new programming.

There are more than half million of Sikhs in UK. Most of them are hardworking and many few on benefits. We Sikhs are the only religion in UK who don’t believe living on benefits. But still Sikh channel is struggling to collect the right amount to run this channel. I am 100% sure that £4 a month won’t effect your budget for your new AMG Merc. Sorry to say that.

Who else can help Sikh channel?

Why not SGPC. Its all public money. Monthly or yearly income in Golden Temple is more than Punjab Governments budget. Who is controlling this money? I would request to SGPC to donate some of the sangat money to Sikh channel.
